Microsoft Flight is a popular Flight Simulator game from Microsoft Studios and it was very expansive game to buy, but now Microsoft is offering the game completely free to download and play.
This PC-Exclusive game was built to appeal to long time fans who are upset when Microsoft closed the ACES Studio and discontinued Microsoft Flight Simulator in January 2009. Also this free to play game attract new users who never tried the virtual aviation game.
“There was an overwhelming demand for access to the ‘Microsoft Flight’ beta and the number of requests was far more than what we initially planned for,” said executive producer Joshua Howard. “We received amazing feedback from the beta participants and it’s great to see this level of excitement from fans.”
The free version of the game includes everything you need to get started. There’s tutorials and missions, and surprisingly Microsoft has allowed you to play in both online and offline modes.
Microsoft Flight may be a simulator, but it is also very much a game. It also include game elements such as players hunting down Aerocaches and completing acrobatic challenges. Players can also take part in the fun that is ferrying passengers and cargo around the islands. Only thing that could make that more exciting is if a zombie Red Baron tried to shoot you down in the middle of delivery.
The new game takes place in beautiful Hawaii and to install the game, you need to install the Games for Windows Live client. Next you can download the 1.43 GB game which allows the player to pilot the experimental ICON A5 aircraft above and around the big island of the state of Hawaii and take part in a number of challenges.
