Galaxy S II to get Android 4.0 ICS Update on March 10

Good news to all Galaxy S II (GT-i9100) users, very soon you are  going to experience Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) on your device.  Samsung Philippines today official posted on its website that the long waited  Android 4.0  update for  Samsung  Galaxy S 2 will be available through kies as well as over-the-air (OTA ) on March 10,2012.

Also the site indicate that, this update will be available only for GT-I9100 (global version) models and other Galaxy S II variants has to wait some more time for the official update.
The First Android 4.0, Icream sandwich update for Galaxy S2 will arrive with Samsung own TouchWiz UI, Face Unlock, Android Beam,data usage feature, multi-tasking and some apps will be “improved.

For some strange reason , Samsung’s site states that because of “ICS OS feature”, Flash and Bluetooth 3.0 HS won’t be supported.

This is the official information provided by Samsung,  so  S2 users get ready for the update, if you don’t have kies, download Kies 2.0 and install it on our system.

Update : Sad news, Samsung Philippines tweeted that March 10th date is wrong and added that once the upgrade schedule is concrete, it’ll confirm through its dedicated Twitter account.
