Ubuntu development team has released a beta version for Ubuntu 10.10, the up-coming version of ‘Ubuntu’, a famous free Linux operating system. Ubuntu 10.10 is codenamed as “Maverick Meerkat”, this beta release came after 3 Alpha releases and it is now available for download in both desktop and Netbook editions.
Ubuntu 10.10 Beta brings several changes like new wallpapers, an improved theme, a new installer, and the powerful Shotwell photo organizer and editor.
The kernel packages were updated to version 2.6.35-19.28 and GNOME 2.32 Beta 1 is now the default desktop environment, also Firefox got updated to version 3.6.9.

According to ubuntu the Release Candidate will be released on 30th September 2010 and Final version will be Released on 10th October 2010.

Waiting eagerly for the stable release of this version. The beta of Ubuntu always comes with some flaws. Right now im using Ubuntu 10.04
