According to PC Mag
- Pros : Excellent malware detection. Firewall actively blocked majority of exploits. Very low impact on system performance. Offers data shredding, encrypted volumes.
- Cons : Poor removal of detected malware. Firewall program control is old-fashioned. Inaccurate spam filtering. Ineffective phishing protection. Rudimentary program control.
- Bottom Line :TrustPort Total Protection 2012 tops the charts for malware detection, but it can’t properly clean up what it detects. Its much-improved firewall is strong against Web-based exploits, but its antiphishing, antispam, and parental control components aren’t effective. You can do better.

Is Trustport better than Kaspersky. Can one switch from Kaspersky to Trustport without any loss. Please elaborate.Thanks.
Don’t dare to do that even in your dreams 😉 Kaspersky is the best “Free” and I tried Trustport and uninstalled it within two days.
Kaspersky is the worst paid antivirus ever. They have no direct customer technical support. The price for each of their product on the other hand is extensively ridiculous. I don’t even know why do some individuals have to mention Kaspersky on any antivirus related articles.
Trustport have been protecting my computer from viruses for years. Best malware detection with dual engines, light on resources, doesn’t slow your pc down, no annoying pop ups and confusing alerts. Besides they have good support team. My advise – try it for yourself.
After I installed it, my internet speed is god damn slow…And because of that, I have switched back to Vipre
I used to use avast Internet security.avast was leaked in Parental control and i couldn’t use any other software with it.TP is pretty fine in my laptop.
Hey danny, currently I’m using Vipre too, can you elaborate more on that particular problem? My license is about to expire this month and I haven’t decided whether to install it or not.
kaspersky is BEST
I want to update my usage experience with Trustport total protection 2012. I tried it again for another 2 days, this time I found that it is quite good and doesn’t slow down my computer and internet connection speed. Sorry for giving wrong information to you guys. But its definition update is quite slow if compare to other antivirus software.
Azmi,
For your information, I was using Vipre antivirus home edition that doesn’t contain firewall feature.
Vipre is awesome but I decided to use Trustport Total Protection 2012 now because it has firewall feature.
Initially, I installed Trustport(TP) but then I reinstall it because I see so many positive comments out there and I started to think about maybe my internet speed is not caused by TP.Finally, I found out the reason, I guess…previously I installed Trendmirco Web Protection together with TP,but after I have uninstalled it and reinstalled TP, the problem is resolved.
Hi, is this game end??
