The Sims 4 game will be free to download starting on October 18, 2022. All new players can download the base game for free on PC through the EA Windows app, Origin (Mac), Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

All expansions, game packs, and kits, on the other hand, have to be bought separately.
EA is giving away the “Desert Luxe Kit” expansion pack to everyone who owns “The Sims 4” already. From September 14 to October 17, all players who bought The Sims 4 Base Game will get the Desert Luxe Kit (worth $4.99).
To get the Desert Luxe Kit, all you have to do is log into the game, and it will be on the main menu for you to claim.
The Desert Luxe Kit provides Sims with high-end indoor and outdoor furnishings that draw design inspiration from the southwestern desert and natural materials like stone and wood.
