At last apart from BSNL a private Cellular operator “TATA TeleServices” announced the availability time of much waited “3G mobile services” in India.
According to Tata, Tata DoCoMo 3G services will be available in India by November 5th across nine circles, by this announcement TATA became the first Private GSM service provider to Launch 3G services in INDIA.

The Nine circles in which Tata DoCoMo 3G services will be available are:
- Maharashtra
- Gujarat
- Karnataka
- Kerala
- Punjab
- Haryana
- Uttar Pradesh (West)
- Rajasthan
- Madhya Pradesh
There is no announcement of 3G tariffs and initially, 3G coverage will be available only in Capital cities of each State. Tata Tele given the 3G equipment contract to Nokia Siemens and Chinese vendor Huawei. So by Diwali 3G Services will be in India.
