Spirit of the North and The Captain-Both Games Available for Free

Spirit of the North and The Captain are now free to download from the Epic Games Store. This week, customers of the digital store Epic Games Store can get two games for free.

These games will be available until 10 a.m. CT on September 22, 2022. After that, they will be replaced by two other games.

North Carolina’s Infuse Studio released Spirit of the North in the summer of 2020. In this heartfelt tale, a young fox is rescued from certain death by a spectral vixen who represents the Northern Lights in human form.

Sysiac Games’ The Captain, launched in December of 2017, is a point-and-click adventure that tries to pack a lifetime’s worth of space opera and action into a scenario that harkens back to the 1980s.

About Spirit of the North:

In this single-player 3rd-person adventure game, you play the part of a typical fox. This fox is pretty normal until it meets the guardian of the Northern Lights, who takes the spiritual form of a fox.

The players then go out on an adventure to uncover the secrets of the long-lost civilization surrounding them by solving environmental riddles with the help of the Northern Lights. Even though there is no dialogue or narration, the game promises an emotional and exciting journey.

About The Captain Game:

Players in The Captain assume the role of Thomas Welmu, who, with his crew scattered across the galaxy, must find a way to return home. In this classic adventure game, the player must hurry to save the planet before it is destroyed.

The journey will force them to make difficult decisions that will affect their relationships with people from other cultures.

Players will have to make choices like whether to hastily return to Earth and abandon all other options, discover new pre-industrial civilizations (for a possible advantage), experiment with wormholes, or decide whether to save loved ones or let them perish.
