Skype updated its Android version app to fix a flaw that can allow hackers to steal confidential data by installing a malicious third-party application onto your Android device through Skype for Android files.
This flaw was revealed last week by Justin Case, an independent Android specialist. According the Justin Case, the previous version of locally stored Skype for Android files are unencrypted and readable. This Vulnerability doesn’t affected dedicated verzion Skype Mobile app.
The new version Skype app v1.0.0.983 not only fixes the vulnerability, but also brings 3G Calling to U.S users.
