Today Samsung officially announced two Android 3.0 Honeycomb powered tablets, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1(P7100) . These tablets are looking sleek and sexy, both Tabs 8.9 and the 10.1 are just 8.6 millimeters thick, making them thinner than the new iPad 2.

  • 1GHz dual core processor.

These prices are supposed to be for the Wi-Fi only editions and the price of the Wi-Fi with 3G models might be announced a little later on. The Price of 64GB model has not yet been announced.

  1. I think that is so awesome that Samsung turned around and showed Apple that they aren’t playing when it comes to its products! The Galaxy Tab looks even more amazing that originally! I know as soon as this tablet comes out, I will be buying one! As soon as I do, I will be downloading the DISH Remote Access app. Using this app along with my 922 SlingLoaded receiver, I can stream live TV and my recordings to the tablet anywhere that I can get a 3G or wifi connection. If they put 4G on the tablets, then that will make streaming even better! As a customer and employee of DISH Network, I have been using the DISH Remote Access app for a while, and I think it will be great to see my favorite shows on this 8.9 inch screen. I just hope that the summer comes fast so I can get my hands on this beautiful tablet!
