Samsung Galaxy R was in the news for past few days and it is said to be the brother of Samsung Galaxy s2 which has many similarities with Galaxy S II, but it is designed to be a cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Now Samsung officially announced Galaxy R which will be available for sale in Europe at the end of July and will be available globally after few months of its launch in Europe.
Although Galaxy R shares many similarities with Galaxy s2, but it differs from its big brother in some ways. It has a slightly smaller 4.2-inch screen with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, compared to the Galaxy S 2’s 4.3-inch display and it has Super LCD display rather than a Super AMOLED display.
Samsung Galaxy R powered with 1GHz Tegra dual core processor runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and has features like 5 megapixel camera on the back that shoots 720p video, while a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front handles video calling and much more.
