The Norwegian software developer Opera today rolled out its data saving app ‘Opera Max’ for Android devices to few more countries, now Opera Max is available in Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Uzbekistan , Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
For those Who don’t know about Opera Max, it’s a new and free app for your Android Smartphone that saves your mobile data usage. The Opera Web browser has long been popular, helping to save on data usage by compressing webpages while enabling faster loading.
Now with this app from opera lets you save mobile data by compressing videos, images and webpages.Opera Max works with most apps on your phone,but it will compresses only mobile data (not Wi-Fi).
Opera Max aims to bring the same benefits to other apps by using data compression (of up to 50%) via VPN connection.This certainly comes in handy for video apps, saving a serious amount of data.
With this app you can watch more videos with less interruption, less waiting for videos and achieve great data savings on mobile video
Opera Max’s Stats screen is also ideal for tracking daily/monthly data usage and you can restrict individual apps to using Wi-Fi if they are data hungry.The application is in beta stage and it will work in the background of your Android device crunching videos, photos and text across most of your phone’s apps saving mobile data and offers better control over other apps data consumption.
