The new iPad : As expected  on Wednesday, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, Apple announced the third generation iPad and officially named it as The new iPad. The main surprise is the name of the next-gen iPad, it is  neither called as iPad 3 nor  iPad HD, but apple calls it as Revolutionary “The New iPad”.

Apple iPad  is certainly the ruler of  tablet sector, it holds 90 percent of world wide tablet market and to keep up this place, apple  launched   major overhauled ipad to trash  Android competitors.

5 key features of New iPad that will attract all Tablet lovers:

Retina Display:

The new iPad mainly concentrates on hardware upgrade and the highlight of  iPad 3 is the 9.7-inch screen with Retina display that has a massive 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution.

The new Retina Display, with four times as many pixels as before, makes everything from photos to videos look crisper and more colourful.

“The new iPad redefines the category Apple created less than two years ago, delivering the most amazing experience people have ever had with technology,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “The new iPad now has the highest resolution display ever seen on a mobile device with 3.1 million pixels, delivering razor sharp text and unbelievable detail in photos and videos.”

Quad core Graphics processor :

Apple’s new iPad features a more powerful processor – a 1.5GHz dual-core A5X chip with quad-core graphics processing – that will enable the use of more demanding apps, including video-editing software and games.When opening Infinity Blade II on the new iPad, the graphics look like they had been from an Xbox 360 or a PS3 and the game didn’t pause.

Aple claims that it’s A5x processor can deliver four times the performance of NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor.

5 MP Rear camera :

The new iPad also features a much better rear camera that now offers a backlit sensor, 5-megapixel resolution and hybrid infra-red filter for better colour reproduction.
The 5 megapixel iSight camera has advanced opticcs, a backside illimunation sensor, auto white balance, and face detection for incredible still images and you can record 1080p HD videos.

New connectivity options :

The new iPad is the first Apple product to use a 4G LTE,that could deliver a speed boost of up to five times that of current networks and apple claims that even with LTE running, battery life on the tablet is expected to be nine hours.

The new ipad supports 4G LTE , HSPA+, dual carrier HSDPA, and now both CDMA and GSM iPad users have the ability to easily roam internationally.

It can also serve as a wireless hotspot, Personal Hotspot can be used to share the fast network connection on your iPad with up to 5 other devices using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB.

New OS & Voice Dictation :

iPad 3 also arrives with iOS 5.1, the latest apple’s moible OS with new features and enhancements including: a redesigned Camera app with video stabilization technology; the ability to delete photos from Photo Stream; support for dictation in English, French, German and Japanese.

Increased Weight :

Although it has same 9.4mm thickness, but the new iPad is 26g heavier and it is noticeable.
