The mPassport Seva mobile application simplifies the process of applying and getting a passport, with this app you can get or apply for a passport from your Smartphone itself.
mPassport Seva application is available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone (7.5/8/8.1).
The Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) launched mPassport Seva mobile app for Indian citizens provide all information regarding Passport services on their smartphones.
The mPassport Seva app offers a wide variety of services such as locating a Passport Seva Kendra, Passport office, status tracking and other general information.
With this app based on your location pin code you can search for the nearest Passport Seva Kendra or you can locate District Passport Cell (DPC) or just locate the main Passport office in your State capital.
In these centres you can submit your passport application, then with mPassport Seva app you can track the status of your application based on your Date of birth and file number on the application.
Plus, you can find out relevant police station in your city or district, these police stations will carry out a verification for your passport.If your passport has been dispatched, then this app lets you track the delivery status.
Before submitting an application, you can use this app to calculate the fee to be paid. This depends on the type of service (fresh/ re-issue), age and required scheme (Normal/Tatkaal). Also, you can use this app to track the RTIs that you have filed.
Furthermore, if you are living in abroad and applied for a passport in Indian missions/ Posts, you can utilize this app to locate an address and other required information.
