Microsoft to fix 49 bugs in Tuesday patch

Microsoft released their advance notification of upcoming Patch Tuesday (OCT 12). The company will be releasing 16 security bulletins and patches to address the 49 vulnerabilities found in Windows (including Windows 7 ) and Windows Server operating systems, Office suites, Internet Explorer and the .NET Framework.


Of the 16 bulletins, 4 are rated “Critical” and could allow an attacker to take full control of the targeted machine through security holes in Windows and Internet Explorer. And 10 are rated Important and remaining two are rated as Moderate.
