LG officially announced the Optimus Vu, a tablet like smart phone with a 5-inch display with 4:3 aspect ratio.LG Optimus Vu is powered by 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 processor with Adreno 220 GPU and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS,but will soon be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
LG Optimus Vu main rival is the Galaxy Note, like the Samsung Galaxy Note it sports a hideaway stylus for annotations, sketching, and jotting down important reminders. However due to the 4:3 aspect ratio, the Optimus Vu (90.4mm) is much wider than the Galaxy Note (83mm).Also it is marginally thinner than the Note,the Vu is 8.5mm thick, while the Note is 9.7mm thick.
The main highlight of LG Optimus Vu is a 5-inch IPS display with a 1024 x 768 resolution, with 4:3 aspect ratio and has a pixel density of 256 PPI, short of Galaxy Note’s 285 PPI.
Also Optimus Vu comes with 32GB memory,1 GB RAM,8 megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, 1.3 megapixel front camera, LTE, HDMI, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct and T-DMB and a 2,080 mAh battery.

LG didn’t revealed the price of Optimus Vu, however it said the vu will be available on SK Telecom and LG+ carriers in Korea March and LG will show more details of Optimus Vu at MWC 2012 at the LG Stand [Hall 8] from February 27 to March 1.
