Transfom KIS 2011 Chinese version to KIS 2011 Eng version:

  1. After Installing Kaspersky IS 2011 Chinese version, restart your computer then press F8 and run in Safe Mode
  2. In Safe Mode, open the Registry Editor and type regedit in the Run box -> click OK and then navigate to the path environment as follows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE KasperskyLab protected AVP11 environment
  3. Now click Envinronment:

    4. 1.Look for SkinSwitchDisabled, double click it and change its Value data from 1 to 0
    2.look for Localization, double click it and change its value to en

  4. Restart your computer.

  4. Change from Chinese language interface to English.

    1. open the main application window
    2. press the key combination Shift + F12 on the keyboard.

    Once you perform the actions described above, the product interface language will be changed to English.

    We installed the chinese version. We were unable to change to English version from chinese. Like u said to follow the steps and is not working. Its not showing AVP11. So can u pls fix this issue. Am using Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE KasperskyLab protected AVP11 environment.

      For 64-bit try to follow the registry path:

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432Node KasperskyLab protected AVP11 environment.

      If you go in HKLM>SOFTWARE, find Wow6432Node, and then follow the remaining path.
      It should work as mine.

      2. Hi all Techno360’member. Yes, KIS CBE 10 is very good one. The installing process,language changing and the most important (at leas for me)it gives chance to renew after expired period. So pls consider between KISS2011 and KIS CBE 10. Thanks to Ramakanth for Good Work.

    1. yes, you can change by interface,

      Disable self defence (see below image)
      http://support.kaspersky.com/kis2011/tech?qid=208282021

      then Go to registry editor and navigate following path:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE KasperskyLab protected AVP11 environment

      Now change SkinSwitchDisabled, Value from 1 to 0.

      So, whene ever you press Shift + F12, you will see english interface

      But the problem is it is showing License error & asking to re-install

  11. It is impossible to change the interface language in Japanese, Chinese and English versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011/2010/2009, Kaspersky Internet Security 2011/2010/2009 and Kaspersky PURE.

    You can easily change the interface language of your Kaspersky Lab product to English and to its initial language.

    In order to change the current interface language of your Kaspersky Lab product, perform the following actions:
    open the main application window
    press the key combination Shift + F12 on the keyboard.

    Once you perform the actions described above, the product interface laguage will be changed to English.

    In order to change the interface language to its initial language, perform the following actions:
    open the main application window
    press the key combination Shift + F5.

    Once you perform the actions described above, the product interface language will be changed to its initial language.

  12. Guyz you have to activate the key with in one week after receiving the key date overdue activation will be closed as per site rules
    so if some one got the key not activated in time period the key will be expired

  16. i edited the same as u said but after restaring the comuter the kaspersky is saying that its licence error and if i again change their registry values to default(chineese) its working but after editing in registry the language changed to english but the licence is cuming error and at the top its saying”YOUR COMPUTER SECURITY IS IN RISC PLEASE REINSTALL” 🙁

  18. I think F-Secure Internet Security 2011 is much better if you have an older system. If you look at latest av-comparitives, they got Advanced+ on Performance test. UI is also clean and functional and doesn’t nag you with too many messages.

    KIS 2011 is great but more CPU-intensive in operation.

  21. I wanted to tell you that this is the end of the promo I checked and the number of licenses Kaspersky 2011 was carried out with the offer of China.
    If you download the license by mailing you a message by mistake because the license is no longer valid today.

  26. For those who can’t change the language of KIS2011:

    -Download a skin that is in your language
    -De-activate self-defense
    -Exit KIS 2011
    -Extract the skin and go to skin/loc, and copy the contents of the folder into C:/Program Files/Kaspersky Lab/Kaspersky Internet Security 2011/Skin/loc/ch
    -Select Overwrite and that’s all

    That’s how I translated my KIS CBE 2010 to spanish, through regedit was impossible, it must work the same way

    for KIS2011 Hans version, I received errors (tree times) and result I had to reinstall windows.
    So pls consider between KISS2011 and KIS CBE 10. Yes, KIS CBE 10 is very good one. The installing process,language changing and the most important (at leas for me)it gives chance to renew after expired period. Thanks to Ramakanth for Good Work.

  32. If you got expired, Repair KIS. It’s install problem.

    We should start kis with Chinese display
    and Shift + F12 every start time.

    We cannot apply “Localization”=”en”.

  33. Every time you restart your PC, KIS 2011 will be back in chinese interface again, You need to press Shift and F12 again to change it to english.

    Earlier today I found how to completely change the Chinese interface to English.
    First run KIS 2011,disable self-defense,then locate C:Program FilesKaspersky LabKaspersky IS 2011Skinloc,delete or cut the folder “zh-Hans-CN” before copy its name,finally rename the folder “en” to “zh-Hans-CN”

    Now Enjoy It!!!
