iOS 16.4 Beta

Since its initial release on September 12, 2022, iOS 16 has received nine updates from Apple. These updates have introduced significant improvements, such as Live Activities and the ability to scroll to text fragments, and brand-new features, such as Apple Music Sing, Freeform, and Security Keys for Apple ID.

Apple is currently developing iOS 16.4, its tenth major update. On February 16, the first beta of iOS 16.4 was released, the second on February 28, the third on March 7, and now March 15, the fourth.

How to download iOS 16.4 Public Beta?

What’s new in iOS 16.4 Beta 4?

Neither the iOS 16.4 nor the iPadOS 16.4 betas are expected to introduce any major new features, but they will include minor improvements.

New emojis have been included in earlier betas, and websites bookmarked in Safari can now receive push notifications just like native apps, right on the Home screen of an iPhone or iPad.

Changes have been made to Apple Music, Podcasts, and Books, and now third-party web browsers like Chrome can add websites to the Home screen.

Some of the new features in iOS 16.4 Developer Beta 4 are:

  • Members of the Apple Developer Program can now enable developer betas from the Settings > Software Update menu. On devices already enrolled in the program, this new option will be enabled upon updating to the latest beta version.
  • Enhanced performance and reliability thanks to tweaks made to core functionality.
  • Apple fixed several bugs, including those affecting Face ID, Safari, and Mail.
  • Improvements to Siri, enhancements to the Photos app, and more.

    Compatibility:

The latest beta version is incompatible with any iPhone model that predates iPhone 8. The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, as well as their predecessors, are no longer supported.

About iOS 16.4 :

The iOS 16.3 update was a minor one that mainly addressed bug fixes and security holes. However, with the forthcoming iOS 16.4 update, that won’t be the case. It is loaded with brand-new features.

There are a lot of cool fresh additions to the iPhone that come with iOS 16.4. There are more than twenty-one brand-new emojis, web app push notification support, focus filtering for Always on Display, support for brand-new shortcut actions, enhanced 5G support, reworked settings for developer profiles, and much more.

Release Date:

The final version of iOS 16.4 is scheduled to be released at the end of March or at the start of April.
