At Mobile World Congress(MWC 2012)in Barcelona, HTC announced a high-end and compact size smartphone called “HTC One S“. Also One S is the thinnest phone ever from HTC with 7.9-mm design and another highlight of the phone is, it is scratch-resistant and durable aluminum backing.
HTC One S Features and Specifications:
Coming to the specifications, HTC One S sports 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED with a 960×540 resolution screen crafted from contoured Corning Gorilla Glass and powered by 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM,Beats Audio integration, 1,605mAh battery and 42Mbps HSPA+ radios.
On the software side, One S runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC’s updated Sense UI 4 and it is the HTC’s most stylish phones out with a slim 7.9 mm profile that extends to 8.7mm at the bump.
For storage the One S has 16GB of internal memory, the camera on the back is 8 megapixels and shoots 1080p video, while the forward camera is just VGA.
The HTC One S sports two new finishes that break new ground in mobile phone innovation. The first is an ultra-matte black Ceramic Metal surface that is the result of a microarc oxidation (MAO) process originally developed for use in satellites. It transforms the surface of the aluminum unibody into a ceramic, super-dense crystalline structure that is four times harder than anodized aluminum, enabling the HTC One S to look great over time. The second finish for the One S takes anodizing to a new level with a new patented process that creates a light-to-dark gradient fade that looks gorgeous and sophisticated.
“The best moments in life are captured with a photo or remembered by a song, so it was key for the HTC One series to improve these emotional experiences with an amazing camera and authentic sound experience,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. “We are very focused on creating a camera and audio experience customers will love and use often and we believe the HTC One series delivers this in a way never seen on a phone before.”’
