The worm Conficker sometimes called Downadup or Kido is designed to infect a large number of computers.
Laboratories, McAfee ® Avert Labs has released a removal tool called AVERT Stinger can help you to remove Conficker in case your PC is infected. This tool will be updated daily to include other variants of the virus.

According to McAfee:
Stinger is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but rather a tool to assist administrators and users when dealing with an infected system. Stinger utilizes next generation scan engine technology, including process scanning, digitally signed DAT files, and scan performance optimizations
Pc’s with windows that are not configured to receive patches and updates from Microsoft and those who does not have an updated anti-virus are at most risk.
Currently we do not know the impact that this virus create, we recommend you upgrade your computer via Windows Update and also to update the antivirus.
