About Horland Scan2PDF:

Scan2PDF can process multiple scanned files and give you some useful tools for managing the resulting PDFs right away.

Converting scanned images to PDF is recommended if you’re managing them and want to keep their print layout intact.

You can use this straightforward program to generate searchable PDF documents containing multiple pages from scanned image files.

While the default language of the user interface is German, we can change it to English via the “language” menu.

The idea behind the tool is to let you grab files directly from the scanner that is connected to your computer.

Accessing the scanner allows you to change the settings that govern how data is processed.

These settings include the colour mode, resolution (DPI), input and output sizes, and blank page tolerance. And if you need to only scan in specific areas, you can create a custom scan frame.

Horland Scan2PDF UI

It’s as easy as can be to process the files; the context menu provides options to save as a PDF, multiple documents, a single PDF, print, email, copy, rearrange, and save as images. One useful function of the app is that it lets you set preferences for what to do after importing new files.

While this isn’t quite automation, you can instruct the app to launch the files in a specific program or have them printed from a networked printer.

If you need additional processing, you can enable auto bright and auto deskew, get rid of the bumper edge, or free up the Twain resources by selecting the corresponding options in the Extras tab.

Overall, Horland’s Scan2PDF simplifies the process of handling scanned images and documents before and after conversion.
