Hiding from Google would have been easy a decade ago. If you want to get off the grid, just don’t go online.
But that was then. Now, even if you don’t use the Internet, somehow you will end up in it.
Your friends may post photos of you with them on social media. Your mom may send your family your baby photos on instant messengers, your job may list your name along with your position on the company website.
While those appear innocent enough, those with evil intention can still gather that information about you to do something in the future. Just imagine if they got hold of where you live and how your house looks like.
And with Google Maps, it’s highly likely that they already have those images. And not just a photo of the front of your house. Google Maps may even have the sides, back and aerial view images of your house and street.
That’s a good thing for some people who want to show their friends how to get to their home. But for others, too detailed images are just invitation for thieves and other strangers to plot something to your home.
You can’t have your house’s images deleted from Google Maps, but you can have it hidden. If you want to learn how to do it, check out this amazing infographic presented by MikesGearReviews.
