Andhra people call it as Ugadi, Kannadigas call Yugaadi/Ugadi and its also celebrated in Maharashtra as Gudi Padwa! To me, it’s a Telugu New Year.
Ugadi means the beginning of an era,Ugadi marks the beginning of a new Hindu lunar calendar with a change in the moon’s orbit.This year it is called the Vikrutinama Samvathsaram.
