Google today officially announced the availability of its Google Play gift cards,these physical Google Play gift cards are available in United States only in$10, $25 and $50 denominations. There is no word on availability outside the US just yet. including India.The cards can be purchased from retailers GameStop, RadioShack, Target in the U.S.
Purchasing the gift cards has no fees and are issued by Google’s Google Payment Corporation (GPC) subsidiary, which handles Google Wallet in the U.S. The cards do not have expiration dates and have a redemption code beneath a scratch-off panel.Users can enter the code on the Google Play website or on their mobile device. They can also enter the code online, by navigating to play.google.com/redeem. Even if customers outside the US manage to get a card or its code, they will be unable to redeem it as Google will check their place and tell them that it is not available .
