Google Instant is a new onscreen feature added to Google search interface. which will speed up the search process by displaying dynamic search results (predictions) while you type on Google search bar.
Google Instant, will starts predicting the result right from the first character that you type and Google simply call this as “Search as you type“.
Core features of Google Instant:
- Dynamic Results – Google dynamically displays relevant search results as you type so you can quickly interact and click through to the web content you need.
- Predictions – One of the key technologies in Google Instant is that we predict the rest of your query (in light gray text) before you finish typing. See what you need? Stop typing, look down and find what you’re looking for.
- Scroll to search – Scroll through predictions and see results instantly for each as you arrow down.

Google Instant is search-before-you-type. Instant takes what you have typed already, predicts the most likely completion and streams results in real-time for those predictions—yielding a smarter and faster search that is interactive, predictive and powerful.
According to Google can save 2-5 seconds per search via Google instant and Google predicts that it can save 3.5 billion seconds (11 hours)a day, if every one uses uses Google Instant globally.

Is Google Instant available in your country :
Google Instant is rolling out over several days to users signed in to a Google Account.
Currently it is available in following countries: US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Russia
Tip: If Google Instant is not available in your country then try Googgle.co.uk by signing into your Google account
Does your Browser supports Google Instant ?:
Google Instant supports all latest versions of major Web browsers : Chrome v5/6, Firefox v3, Safari v5 for Mac and Internet Explorer v8.
How to Disable/Turn Off Google Instant Search:
Just login to your Google account, then go to Preferences page and select “Do not use Google Instant” radio button and Save Preferences.
