Just few days after the release of Firefox 3.6, Google launched a latest stable version of Chrome (4.0) for windows. The highlight of this stable version of Chrome (4.0.249.78) is, it added support to two most wanted features extensions or addons, bookmark sync and introduced many more features. So Google is ahead of Firefox in version numbers also.
Users with current stable version of Chrome ( Windows) will be automatically upgraded to latest release, if not then head over to the Chrome download page. So now windows (chrome) users can browse and install over 1,500 extensions that are available at official Chrome extensions gallery. But for Linux users, extensions will be available in the beta channel, and for Mac users, they’re working on to bring extensions, bookmark sync and other features to the beta version soon.

But installing many extensions will slow down chrome performance, because the (chrome) extensions are all Web-based — running everything from the Web, which can make things slower.
Another new feature bookmark syncing, the built-in bookmark syncing can automatically synchronize your Chrome bookmarks across computers. But XMarks extension, will be useful if you want to sync bookmarks between Chrome, Firefox and Safari across multiple PC’s.
