Google Camera app  or  Android 4.4 stock camera app is now available on Play store, so users with phones or tablets running on Kitkat version (Android 4.4) can download the stock camera app.

The Google’s new camera app adds a load of intriguing and easy-to-use features that no self-respecting Android snapper should be without.

Google Camera app lets you  to take quick photos and videos. Furthermore, it has new creative picture modes such as Panorama and Photo Sphere

The Google  camera app  or stock camera app arrives with a new interface and a new mode called ‘Lens Blur’, the new mode offers DSLR like lens blur feature.This clever new idea enables you to focus an image on the subject, blurring out the background to make whoever or whatever, you are snapping stand out even more.

Lens Blur will emphasize the subject while blurring the background for an SLR-like shot with shallow depth-of-field (or bokeh). You can even change the subject in focus after taking the shot.

Unlike a regular photo, you change the point or level of focus after the photo is taken with the Lens Blur feature. Simply by tapping a particular object in the image, you can focus the object. Also,to achieve bokeh effects ranging from subtle to surreal (e.g., tilt-shift), you can change the depth-of-field slider and simulate different aperture sizes.

Coming back to other features of Google Camera app, it offers a large capture button and 100% viewfinder for capturing the maximum resolution of a particular scene. Also, to capture images, you can utilize volume buttons on your device. On the app’s screen ,you slide from the left to get Photo Sphere, Lens Blur, Panorama, video or Camera.

For the first time on non-Nexus devices, you can get immersive 360 degree photo spheres at up to 50 megapixels and the new higher resolution panoramas lets you capture the full width and detail of a scene. For reducing the video and image resolution, you need to use the apps settings and to enable manual exposure advanced settings is there to help you.
