I think many of us had experienced problems like this, accidentally closing a program and instantly realize that you didn’t mean to close it.we have accidentally closed a web browser, word processor, or other application without saving our data first.
For me it happens almost every day and might never be recovered or when it’s recovered you’ll end up starting the work you were doing afresh.Unfortunately, Windows doesn’t have an undo key.
For those who do this often, and want to have a “lifesaver”, it’s worth testing GoneIn60s, a small application that can retrieve the applications closed, from the system tray, in a period of 60 seconds.

You can use GoneIn60s to recover a program that has been closed within 60seconds.It does so by hiding the window when you close it—but not entirely closing it until the 60 seconds are up.However you can adjust the setting to keep it for up to 100seconds.
Once the program is running, it stays on taskbar and takes just about 4MB memory. After you close any program or window, jut right click on the program’s icon in the taskbar, which will reveal the list of programs you closed during the last 60 seconds, and which are still running. Clicking on the program from the list will re-launch the program. Once the 60 seconds counter reaches zero, the program will be closed.
Personally I think 60 seconds counter might be a bit too long if you want the memory in use by the applications to be released sooner. 15 seconds will be enough, if you to recover the program. On the other hand, you can extend this time to hundreds or maybe even thousands of seconds.
Features:
- Click the X or press Alt-F4 to close an application.
- To recover, right click the tray icon and choose an application
- Double click the tray icon to recover all applications.
- If not restored, it is gone in 60 seconds
If there are some programs that you’d prefer to shut down immediately, you can create a whitelist of apps to close every time.By the way GoneIn60s is free!
