Good news to all galaxy s3 lovers, Samsung is going to launch Galaxy S3 in India on May 31’st or in the first week of June, Samsung India had already sent media invitations for the May31st Galaxy S III launch event in New Delhi. The price of the device will be Rs 39,990 or around US$712.
Also the south Korean company had started taking pre-orders for this device on its e-store taking Rs 2000 as a pre-order payment, in return thanking the customers by giving them a free bluetooth headset along with the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy S III features a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, it is powered by Samsung’s new 1.4GHz quad core Exynos processor, and it also features a new GPU, two cameras with a 1.9 megapixel camera up front for video chat and a rear facing 8 megapixel camera for videos and photos that is capable of full HD video in 1080p.
Other specifications on the new Samsung Galaxy S III include NFC, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and it will be available in a 16GB and 32GB version initially with a 64GB version to be released later, there is also a microSD card slot which can take up to 32GB cards.
Customers who have pre-ordered their devices have received a confirmation on the release date – 31st May 2012 along with a coupon code which will redeem their Rs 2000 paid while pre-booking the handset.
For now Samsung only confirmed on the immediate availability of the Marble White color devices only, which means if you pre-ordered you would get a white color handset unless you would wait till the 2nd week of June for your Pebble Blue color model to arrive.
The Galaxy S3, running on Google’s Android operating system, boasts a 4.8-inch (12.2 cm) screen, bigger than the 3.5-inch display on the iPhone 4S and the 4.7-inch screen on HTC’sOne X model.
