Facebook Launched a new free Mobile Friendly service called “Facebook Zero”, after shutting down Facebook lite and it claims that this new service is faster than all it’s other Facebook versions. This new service aims at mobile phones with limited bandwidth Internet connections and allows the mobile users to browse facebook for free on their mobile without paying any data charges.
The 0.facebook site offers the same capabilities as Facebook’s standard website, allowing members to view their news feed, comment on posts and send messages. But you have to pay for data charges when you view photos or when you leave 0.facebook.com to browse other mobile sites. Also 0.facebook.com warns that you are being charged when you are about to view large images or to leave 0.facebook site.
The new site is available in 40 different countries, including Brazil, India, Indonesia and Turkey from a variety of carriers.Facebook has collaborated with 50 mobile operators from around the world. Reliance and Videocon (with Tata Docomo coming soon), are among the carriers partnering with Facebook from India.

Soon, 0.facebook.com will also be available from the following operators: Telstra in Australia, Movistar in El Salvador, SFR in France, XL in Indonesia, DiGi in Malaysia, Telecom NZ in New Zealand, SMART in the Philippines, Vodafone in Qatar, Digicel in Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago, 3 in the UK, and MTN in Cameroon and Guinea Conakry.
