Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 now available

Mozilla announced just a few weeks ago that the change in numbers would be in the development of  Firefox 3.1. The final version has been dragging over time and eventually decided to be called Firefox 3.5, due to the amount of improvements that will come in this built-in browser.

However, it has not yet made the leap in numbers as to the Beta versions are concerned, it was announced yesterday that Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 available for download.
The most significant changes are:

  • Incorporation of the private browsing mode
  • Improvements in stability and TraceMonkey JavaScript engine performance.
  • New native support for JSON.
  • Improvements in the Gecko rendering engine.
  • Support for new technologies like the “video” and “audio”, the W3C Geolocation API, SVG transformations, properties of CSS 2 and 3 …
