Facebook Pays 10 cents to watch ads

Facebook on Thursday launched a new feature to attract users to watch ads on the site by rewarding one Facebook Credit which is equivalent to 10 cents. Users can redeem the credits by purchasing goods on recently launched “Facebook Deals” ,a Groupon-like daily deals service.

Although Facebook is one of the most popular website in the world, but I think with this Feature Facebook aims to hit three Mangoes or Apples (what ever) with one stone .

First this Feature may increase or attract more users to Facebook, second it will make users to use the Facebook deals and the third, the main purpose of this incentive is to increase click rates on ads and make users to watch ads. But I think at the end it is called “Bribing”.

Coming to the information of “Facebook 10 cents Program”, now at the initial stage ads will only appear on Games that you play on Facebook, the ads will appear on games developed by CrowdStar, Digital Chocolate and Zynga.

Once you’ watch an ad, you will get an alert that one credit has been awarded and you can click through to watch-and-earn again. Earlier users can only use credits to purchase  Facebook Virtual goods, such  game purchases and other virtual gifts, but now users can use credits to buy real goods by redeeming the credits with Facebook Deals.

According to Dan Greenberg, CEO of Sharethrough, Facebook is working with many companies  to server interruptive ads on Games, we have to see in what way the ads will be Un-interruptive on games.
