As announced by Steve Ballmer at CES 209, Windows 7 Beta (Build 7000) is now available for free for anyone wishing to try this new version of the operating system.
Just choose the language and the version you want to download and sign in with a Windows Live ID (Passport), then you will get license key to your email .
The problem? As usual servers are full and trying download windows 7 is becoming a real headache.
Windows 7 Beta is available in both 32-bit versions, and 64, in addition to being available in English, German, Japanese, Arabic and Hindi.
Another problem? The beta is available only to the first 2.5 million people. It sounds pretty, but with geeks around the world trying to acquire a copy (calculate that the quota is reached in less than an hour).
The minimum requirements to be able to run it, are:
* 1 GHz processor 32-bit or 64-bit processor
*Memory: 1 GB of system memory
* Hard drive: 16 GB of available disk space
* Video Card: Support for DirectX 9 with 128MB memory (for Aero)
* Drive: DVD-R / W drive
* Internet connection (for the Beta and Updates)
There will be only one operating system version,(per PC) and expires on August 1, 2009, i think at that time there will be final version or a new beta version
So, good luck in achieving a secure serial number!.
For those using Mac OS X a nd intend to test this operating system, a version prepared for VMWare circulating in BitTorrent, which allows use without having to make complicated installations.
Attention: After you install this beta, updates the operating system before you play any MP3 file if you do not want to expose any loss.
Later I will put a tutorial to partition how to install Windows 7 on your PC, without renmoving current Operating system(os).
Download: Windows 7 x86 (32bit) and x64 (64 bit)
