About Cris Tales Game:
This independent title is influenced by traditional JRPGs. Return to the past to observe the consequences of your actions in the present.
This is a beautiful, indie ode to classic JRPGs told from a unique perspective. Peer into the past, act in the present, and watch as your decisions affect the future dynamically – all on the same screen as you play! Over 20 hours of gameplay and beautifully hand-drawn 2D animations bring to life a universe where your actions affect both the present and the future.
The game is a turn-based RPG with the ability to the time jump, which changes the gameplay. You can do this both on the map and in battle. Each playable character has a different set of skills.
The main game mechanic is to manipulate time. There are three sections on the screen: the present in the middle, the past on the left, and the future on the right. The screen is split into three parts.
You take on the role of Crisbell, a time mage with the ability to glimpse into the past and future. Crisbell sets out to alter the course of history and save the world after witnessing the apocalypse, making like-minded pals along the way. Among them is a talking frog.
