Call of Duty: Warzone is now officially as a free download for PC, PS4 and Xbox One users.
The Warzone brings free-to-play Battle Royale mode to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it’s a free update (v1.17 ).
Also, the “The Warzone” is available as a standalone game and free-to-play, you don’t need the base game COD: Modern Warfare. Like the base game, Warzone supports cross-play across all platforms.
Not only it’s a free-to-play, but it offers great features not found in popular battle royale games such as Fortnite and PUBG.
The 150-player game features an enormous map and a unique “gulag” system. Gulag system is the real highlight of Warzone, when players lose the match they will be captured and end up in the Gulag. There, you have to kill other captures or opponent to get back into the match.
Along with battle royale, WarZone also features another money-focused mode called “Plunder”.Players can collect the cash by looting across the map, killing enemies to steal their cash and completing in match contracts.
According to Activision, now the game supports only three-player parties (trios) and very soon you can expect solo and duo modes.
Another key feature of Warzone is the addition of buy stations. These are points on the map where the players can use them use to buy new equipment load-outs using the money. Also, you can also use the money to buy back a squad-member who has been taken out.
Call of Duty: Warzone is a free game with cross-play enabled, anyone can download it and start playing with anyone else, even if they’re on different platforms.
How to Download Call of Duty: Warzone?
For PC:
First, download the installer or Battle.net client by visiting the
Run the installer and login with your pre-existing account or create a new account if one has not already been made. Also, you can utilize your Facebook and Google accounts.
The download size of the game is huge (82-102 GB). For me, the installer showed up 85.6 GB.So, make sure you have enough room on your HDD and bandwidth before you hit the download button.
Although I have 100 Mbps ISP connection, you can see in the below screenshot the installer is downloading the files at 14 MB/sec speed.
For PS4 :
You don’t need PlayStation Plus subscription to download this game.
Launch PlayStation Store and look under What’s Hot” section or search it. Also, you can reach this PlayStation Store .
For Xbox:
Sadly to download this free game Xbox players require an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
If you have Xbox Live Gold subscription, launch Microsoft Store on your Xbox and search for “Call of Duty: Warzone” or visit this .
If you have Modern Warfe on your system, the WarZone update will be around 22 GB for PC’s,17.9GB for Xbox One, and 15.1GB for the PS4 users.
