Avast the popular Free Antivirus reached version 6 and the First Beta version of Avast 6 Antivirus (free), Avast Antivirus (PRO), and Avast Internet Security software is now available for download.
Avast 6 comes with many new features such as AutoSandbox, Web reputation plug-in and SafeZone. The Web Script Shield and site blocking features which are available in Avast 5 Pro are made available for Avast 6 free version.Script Shield intercepts and scans any scripts executed on your system, and Site Blocking allows you to block access to the sites or URLs that you specify,

The highlight technologies of Avast 6 are AutoSandbox & WebRep. AutoSandbox feature is based on virtualization technology that can automatically detect a suspicious program as it’s launched, and execute it in the sandbox, an isolated environment where it can’t infect or damage your PC.
The WebRep browser plugin displays the reputation of the sites in your search engine results, helping you to identify dangerous links before you click. Currently this works only with Firefox and Internet Explorer and a Chrome extension will be available soon.
Besides these features Avast 6 Beta features eight real-time shields that keep your system safe from online threats in various areas: web browsing, email, instant messaging, P2P and more

Hey this is beta, don’t use this as main Antivirus. For free AV use Microsoft Security Essentials v2

compared to free antivrus in the market, MSE has top rated AV. If you choose free antivirus I say MSE is best.
