Asus PadFone 2 smartphone-tablet was launched today by ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih at a Press conference in Milan, PadFone2 is combination of both tablet and phone, where your smartphone can be inserted in to the tablet (dock station).
The first change you can notice in the new version Compared to original version of PadFone is change in the position of docking, where in PadFone 1, you have to dock the phone at the backside of the tablet,but in the Padfone 2, you can dock the smartphone on tablet vertically at top the device.The second version of also PadFone has improved specifications in terms of design and hardware , compared to Previous version PadFone.
Asus PadFone 2 is a fully featured Android smartphone-tablet that arrives with Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS (a big disappointment) ,how ever Asus conformed that they are preparing Jelly bean update for the device.
The hybrid PadFone 2 has 4.7-inch HD Super IPS+ display with 1280 x 720 resolution and the company used scratch-resistant Corning Fit Glass for the display.If users want to increase the screen size further, they can use Padfone docking station, which provides 10.1-inch 1,280 x 800 IPS display.
The PadFone 2 is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and has a storage capacity of up to 64GB.The device ships with 2140mAh battery, which provides up to 16 hours 3G talk-time and 13 hours Wi-Fi web browsing.
Asus padfone 2 arrives with 13-megapixel high-performance rear camera with an f/2.4 BSI sensor from Sony, which captures incredibly detailed images with no shutter lag. Burst mode can capture up to 100 shots at a blisteringly quick six shots per second, while simultaneously recording 1080p HD video at 30fps, or 720p HD video at 60fps.
The PadFone 2 weights just 135g and measures 9mm at its thickest point, PadFone 2 Smartphone docked with PadFone 2 Station weighs just 649g, which is lighter than most tablets on the market. The PadFone 2 Station arrives with 5,000mAh Lithium battery, according to the company , the dock station has enough capacity to recharge the docked PadFone 2 three times over.

Asus PadFone 2 will be available in white and charcoal Black colours and regarding the price,both PadFone 2 Smartphone and tablet(dock station) will cost same. The 64 GB version will cost €899 or $ 1170(RS 62,000) and 32 GB version will cost €799 or $1040 (RS 55,000).
