Do you own Samsung Galaxy S3 (I9300)? Today we got good news for you, the first official firmware based on Android 4.1.1 Jelly bean for Galaxy S III leaked. The build number is XDDLG4 and  meant for the international version of the Galaxy S III.

Jelly Bean is the latest version of Android OS released by Google along with the launch of Nexus 7 tablet. Samsung confirmed the Android 4.1 update for Galaxy S3 will be released on August 29 or in September month, now an official Samsung build was leaked.

Don’t expect too many changes with jelly bean update, compared to Gingerbread to with ICS, you may notice few visual changes and fixes in the 4.1 update.Instead of jumping ahead a full version number from 4.0 to 5.0,Google released Android 4.1 to smooth out the platform’s remaining rough edges. It’s a bit like operating system overhaul that tunes up what’s under the hood rather than attempting to dazzle users with a volume of new features.

According to Sam Mobile website, the leaked ROM is a test build of Jelly Bean and the final release may have differences.Few visible changes that were found after installing the firmware (I9300XXDLG4) on the Galaxy S3 include

1. A new clock (in line with JB vanilla) in the notification bar.

2.A function called “Dormant mode”

3.Google Now is accessed by touching the Google Search widget
4. A couple of new Live Wallpapers

5.”Palm swipe” lets you take a screenshot

6. Reboot into “safe mode” (maybe just in test release)

Below  video of the leaked ROM will show  all these features in action:

Also there were some glitches,” for instance the internal SDCARD got formatted and some apps can’t be installed due to problems with smdl2tmp1.asec (which can’t be found at all). These problems could also be local to the specific device. A good suggestion is to make backup of everything prior flash,” said SAM Mobile
