Coming to the point today October 8 2009,the first international cricket club tournament “Champions League Twenty20” will start at 8:00 p.m IST (14:30 GMT | 10:30 EDT | 09:30 CDT | 07:30 PDt) in Bangalore (India).

This T20 League or Tournament consists of 12 t20 teams from 7 countries,India, Australia, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and West Indies. These 12 teams are divided into 4 Groups. Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D

Group A:– Deccan Chargers, Trinidad & Tobago and Somerset

Group B: – Eagles, New South Wales and Sussex

Group C: – Royal Challengers Bangalore, Cape Cobras and Otago

Group D – Delhi Daredevils, Wayamba and Victoria.

According to the schedule there will be 23 matches to be conducted in different parts of India at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi including Kolkata.The highlight of this tournament is the Six million USD as the prize money. ESPN Star Sports are the commercial right holders for T20 Champions League for a period of 10 years.
