About 1979 Revolution: Black Friday Game:

The story begins in the year 1980. The gameplay places the player in control of Reza Shirazi, an aspiring photojournalist who returns to Iran during the Islamic Revolution.

As he becomes more immersed in the Revolution’s events, Reza is brought to the edge of survival. The outcome of the game depends on how quickly the player makes decisions. After being briefed on the game’s backstory, players are instructed to document their in-game environment by snapping screenshots.

This adventure game gives the player multiple opportunities to interact with the world around them, including with strike crowds and a homeless woman and her baby. In the game, they often asked you to use Reza’s camera to snap a photo of the selected individual or event as part of the interaction.

Options pop up, letting you compare the game’s photos to those captured by real-life photographer Michel Setboun. The player also gathers Ayatollah Khomeini’s speeches on tape throughout the game.

There are timed sections where the player’s actions will have a significant impact on the story. For some branching dialogue options, the player must act quickly or else Reza will remain silent.

It’s up to the player to decide what to do in various situations as the game progresses; for instance, during a protest sequence, the player must decide whether to show aggression or take photographs.

A notification feature indicates that a character will remember your decision and act according to it. The player must react quickly to on-screen prompts during action sequences if they want to survive. If the player is unable to respond in time, the game will reset to a point before the quick time event.
