Yahoo has launched the stable edition of Yahoo Messenger 9.0 Instant messaging application.
This application is available on Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems.
The company is however yet to come out with the special Vista edition Yahoo Messenger.
The latest version features a redesigned interface with more skin options.
Three new skins (Silver, Ruby Red, Mystic Black) bring the total count to twelve.
It also features the capability to let the user watch Flickr images and videos in the chat window.
Users also get the ability to chat with friends directly from their Web site or blog or online profile page with Pingbox™ ,a new application that once embedded. Google Talk already provides this functionality.
The application features updated statuses of friends from services like Yahoo Buzz, Avatars, 360, or MyBlogLog.
Some new smilies have also been added in this edition of Yahoo Messenger.
