If you currently only use your play station 3 to play games and you would like to play any type of multimedia content (like movies,TV shows) in it, then today we present you a program that installs on your computer and lets you to turn your console into a media center.It’s called PS3 Media Server. This software installed on our PC will be responsible for streaming any type of Media content on your console.
If you have a ps3 already, and do not have a media server setup you are missing out, No more burning CDs and DVDs!
Stream your content using your existing wireless network or wired ethernet network.The protocols supported by the playstation3 are called DLNA and UPnP, This is not only available to the ps3. If your device supports these protocols you can use above software.
PS3 Media Server is a DLNA compliant Upnp Media Server for the PS3, written in Java, with the purpose of streaming or transcoding any kind of media files, with minimum configuration. It’s backed up with the powerful Mplayer/FFmpeg packages.

Is there already anyone who inspectioned the code behind PS3 Media Server (Commonly PMS)??
For sure I trust it, It's released under GPL2 and it's open source.
Maybe I'm a bit paranoid… anyway, I hope someone bring me an answer.
Can I stream internet radio “USING VLC” to the ps3 with this “PS3 Media Server”.
I currently stream a particular internet radio station on my computer without problems using VLC…..but want to stream it to my PS3. Is this even possible or am I ahead of my time….?
