Opera Mobile 9.7 headed to Android

The Mobile browser Opera Mobile 9.7 which has been a great alternative browser for Windows Mobile and Symbian OS, will also going to launch a version for Google’s Android OS.

For now, Android user have Opera Mini 4.2, which lacks features like tabbed browsing, download manager, flexible bookmark management ..e.t.c.

Although Android’s own browser is good enough,but the arrival of Opera Mobile will give another dimension to web browsing  and Opera Turbo widgets will make Android different, which certainly forces or encourages the development of Android browser .

There  are quite good reasons to take  this new seriously,because Opera CEO, Jon Von Tetzchner, recently stated that their full-fledged browser Opera Mobile will be coming to Android.

“Yes, we are working on an Android version,” von Tetzchner said.
