Download Microsoft Security Essentials 2.0 Beta

  • To download MSE 2.0 Beta , you need to to register for the beta program at Microsoft Connect page.
  • Note: This is a limited beta available on a first-come, first-serve basis until all the slots for the beta are taken.
  • My View:
So far I used it on my Windows 7 PC for about 6 hrs , the installation of MSE 2.0 will take some time depending on your system and as-usual after restarting the PC, at first time it will take much time for updates and scanning.

    Pros :

  • Strong AV, Catches suspect files that other antivirus software’s like KIS has missed
  • simple to use interface, so far unobtrusive on Windows 7
  • Cons

  • scan speed is still slow, even Quick scan was not so quick
