Download Windows 7 Rc

As promised, on May 5th(late Monday evening ?) Microsoft released the Release Candidate build (7100) to all users through Microsoft’s Customer Preview program. The good news is that RC build will work nicely for about 13 months. That’s right, Microsoft will give users until June 1st, 2010 to run the darn thing. That’s pretty generous.

Although from March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010

OK,to download Windows 7 RC  just click this link www.microsoft.com, visit the Microsoft’s downloads page and select your language,select which version of Windows 7 you want (32-bit or 64-bit) ,then click “Go” button and then sign in with your Windows Live account,where you will be forwarded to page which will display your windows 7 RC serial number along with it’s Download link.(like above image).

Along with the download, Microsoft has provided a brief set of instructions that should be thorough enough to get your installation up and running.

Both the 32 and 64-bit version are available now in five languages: English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. You’ll need to sign in with your Windows Live ID and fill out a brief form first, unless you already did so for the Beta. In that case, your previous details should be pre-filled.

System Requirements for Windows 7

With the RC, Microsoft is also providing guidance on the minimum system requirements for Windows 7, showing that Windows 7 will work on a broader array of hardware than any other release of Windows at launch:

• 1GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
• 1 GB of RAM (32-bit)/2 GB of RAM (64-bit)
• 16 GB of available disk space (32-bit)/20 GB (64-bit)
• DirectX 9 graphics device with Windows Display Driver Model 1.0 or higher driver
