4 Free tools to completely uninstall programs from Windows

Posted by

The amount of garbage accumulated on the computer keeps growing as we install/uninstall applications. Windows default un-installer does not remove all the files properly,it leaves much unwanted tracks on the system (like registry keys, folders scattered throughout the hard disk, configuration files, etc..). Fortunately there are some free tools that solve this problem almost 100%.

Here is list of  4 free tools to uninstall anything:

1.Revo Uninstaller:

probably many of you already know this tool, It is in fact one of the best free products (also available in no-install version) to replace the classic “Add / Remove Programs” control panel in Windows. It reaches the parts where other uninstallers can’t reach .
After regular un-installation of programs, you can remove unnecessary files, folders and registry keys that are usually left over on your computer. Even if you have a broken installation, Revo Uninstaller scans for an application’s data on your hard disk drives and in the Windows registry and shows all found files, folders and registry items so you can delete them.

The highest recommendation I can give this piece of software is to say, if it wasn’t free I’d seriously consider paying for it.

2.AppRemover– Designed exclusively to uninstall security applications.

I found it lately, but very good tool. I think we all had problems uninstalling troublesome security products such as anti-viruses or anti-spyware applications. Usually one can not uninstall most of security progams easily and for uninstalling some security suites (Norton,McAfee )or anti viruses one needs to search for special removal tools on manufacturers sites of those products. App Remover is an universal tool ,where it will uninstall all kinds of security programs. Once downloaded, simply double-click the AppRemover icon. It will uninstall any detected antivirus and antispyware applications on your computer.

I am glad that someone created such a tool in the long run which is completely free.

You will a brand-new PC and expect it would be clean, but you will find it with full of “crapwares”–software installed for no reason other than that the PC maker gets paid to put it there. These crapwares slow down your PC startup and its general operation. Here come’s PC De-Crapifier where it will remove dozens of crapwares automatically.

4.Total Uninstall 2.35:last freeware version(!)

Total Uninstall 2.35
Total Uninstall can help you to monitor any changes that were made to your system during installation of a new software product and allow you to perform a complete uninstall without having to rely on the supplied uninstall program.
The program will then create a snapshot of your system before it installs the new software and an additional snapshot after install completes. It then compares the two snapshots and displays all changes in a graphical tree view, marking all values and/or files that have been added or changed as well as some before/after details.
